About

Plate & Margin is a sample shop, made up to show a different kind of Featherstall store. Nothing here is for sale, and checkout is off.

The pictures are real: hand-coloured plates by Mark Catesby from The Natural History of Carolina, Florida and the Bahama Islands (1731–1754), which the National Gallery of Art in Washington shares in the public domain. The prints, paper, sizes and prices are ours, invented for the sample.

The listings were drafted by Claude from each image and a one-line note, then checked by us: how this shop was made.
